On July 3, 2007, a federal arrest warrant for Antunez-Sotelo was issued in the Southern District of California for human trafficking and alien smuggling violations (U.S. CODE 18 USC 1589 AND 8 USC 1324.) He is believed to be a member of an alien smuggling organization which smuggles undocumented aliens into the United States for financial gain and then compels their labor under threats of harm and death.
