Switzerland manages a sanctions lists with a high degree of detail on the individuals that are subject to it's embargoes
The Confederation can adopt coercive measures to enforce sanctions that have been decided by the United Nations Organization, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe or by Switzerland's most important trading partners and which serve to ensure compliance with international law, in particular respect for human rights (Art. 1, Para. 1 Embargo Act). The Federal Council is responsible for enacting the coercive measures (Art. 2, Para. 1 Embargo Act).
