Senior officials and diplomats in the US Department of State

This is a dataset of senior officials in the US Department of State including political appointees like the Secretary of State and Under Secretaries of State, and senior administrative staff.

The State Department consists of bureaus and offices responsible for handling various state interests and policy initiatives, each reporting to a specific under secretary. A number of geographic bureaus and offices report to and advise the Under Secretary for Political Affairs, and guide the operation of the U.s. diplomatic missions within their regional jurisdiction.
