En tant que procureur de Sirjan, Mohsen Nikvarz a été responsable de plusieurs arrestations arbitraires d’avocats et de condamnations à mort à Sirjan au cours des manifestations de 2019. En 2023, il a été promu à la tête du centre pour la protection et le renseignement de l’appareil judiciaire de la province de Kerman. Dans le contexte des manifestations qui ont éclaté en septembre 2022, il a également été impliqué dans l’affaire Maryam Arvin, qu’il a poursuivie pour ses activités de défense de manifestants. À la suite de son arrestation, dont Mohsen Nikvarz porte personnellement la responsabilité, Maryam Arvin a été sauvagement torturée en prison. Mohsen Nikvarz est donc responsable de graves violations des droits de l’homme en Iran.
