Obywatel Białorusi Dmitri Baskov jest członkiem Rady Republiki Zgromadzenia Narodowego RB oraz Prezesem Białoruskiego Związku Hokeja na lodzie oraz członkiem zarządu Komitetu Olimpijskiego RB. Brał udział w uchwalaniu prawa mającego na celu represjonowanie obywateli Białorusi. Oskarżany przez środowiska opozycyjne o udział w zabójstwie obywatela RB Ramana Bandarenki. Z informacji posiadanych przez Agencję Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego wynika, że wjazd i pobyt obywatela Białorusi stanowią zagrożenie dla bezpieczeństwa państwa.
