Ambassador of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, former Chairman of KGB. He threatened peaceful activists before demonstrations in 2006, and was one of the main actors in the repression after the fraudulent elections of the democratic opposition and of civil society. He was also the initiator of repressive legislative amendments and laws against the democratic opposition and civil society.
