According to Parapgraph 94 (p. 38) of the UN Panel of Experts February 2017 report, Arab International Optronics used the name “MODA Authority — Arab International Optronics” during transactions related to military equipment before. Furthermore, "MODA Authority" does not exist in the Egyptian registry. On the other hand, the company Arab International Optronics exists in that registry with the same address and fax number as those used by MODA Authority. MODA Authority is therefore likely identical to Arab International Optronics or a front company.
