Description | The Centre provides nine-month postgraduate diplomas in five space science and technology disciplines. Since 1996, over 30 nationals from the DPRK, including Paek Chang-Ho involved in the 2012 Unha-3 rocket launch, have been trained there. According to the UN Panel of Experts, some of these courses, specifically in space and atmospheric science and global navigation satellite systems, could be utilized by the DPRK for prohibited activities, as they relate to ballistic missile development, thus violating resolutions. | [sources] | |||
