Le groupe d'experts des Nations unies indique que Song Rim est un employé de la “Biryugang Overseas Technology Cooperation Company” (“chef du département du développement informatique”), qui est directement liée à la “Hapjanggang Trading Corporation”, qui dépend du ministère de l'industrie des roquettes de la République populaire démocratique de Corée. Song Rim, un travailleur informatique de la RPDC, a été identifié dans une vidéo apparemment promotionnelle pour une application de piratage par hameçonnage vocal, comme l'a souligné le groupe d'experts dans son rapport de mi-mandat de 2022.
