أحد فروع شعبة الأمن السياسي. يتولى مهمة مراقبة المواطنين في المحافظة. تقوم مفارزه وأقسامه بتجنيد المخبرين ضمن صفوف المواطنين كلٌ في المكان الذي يقطن فيه، وتستلم التقارير منهم ثم تقوم بأرشفتها وتنظيمها وإرسالها إلى الفرع الخاص بالمحافظة. يرأس الفرع منذ تشرين الأول 2020 العقيد سامر سويدان خلفاً لرئيسه السابق العميد أمجد نظامي الذي لقي مصرعه في حادث سير تضاربت المعلومات حول أسبابه.

The Political Security branch of al-Hasaka is tasked with surveilling citizens within the governorate. The detachments and departments of this branch recruit informants from citizens everywhere in the governorate. They receive their reports, organise, archive, and send them to the competent branch. Colonel Samer Swidan has headed al-Hasaka branch since October 2020, succeeding his former Supervisor, Brigadier General Amjad Nizami, who died in a traffic accident with no reliable account of its circumstances.
