The Political Security branch of Aleppo is tasked with surveilling citizens within the governorate. The detachments and departments of this branch recruit informants from citizens everywhere in the governorate. They receive their reports, organise, archive, and send them to the competent branch. Brigadier General Anas Zuraiq has headed Aleppo branch since December 2020.
