Hayan Oil Company was established in 1998, as a result of a partnership between the Syrian Petroleum Company and the Croatian company, Syrian Arab Republic. تأسست شركة حيان للنفط عام 1998، نتيجة شراكة بين الشركة السورية للنفط و شركة إينا الكرواتية، الجمهورية العربية السورية. وهي شركة عاملة ذات شخصية اعتبارية، تعمل على تنفيذ عمليات التنمية في مجال إنتاج النفط والغاز في حقول جهار، وبالميرا، والمهر، وجزال، والمستديرة، ومزرور، كما تتابع عمليات التنقيب في منطقة عقد حيان، بالإضافة إلى حفر آبار تطويرية، وتجهيز المحفورة سابقاً بهدف وضعها في الإنتاج، وتجهيز المعدات السطحية اللازمة لتوصيل آبار النفط والغاز، وإنشاء نظام لتجميع ونقل لهذه المنتجات
