The contents of these containers, suspected to be transported by rail to a Russian ammunition depot near the Ukrainian border, remain undisclosed. Owned by M Leasing LLC and operated by Marine Trans Shipping LLC, Angara's activities include multiple round trips between Dunay and Rajin, loading and unloading 20-foot shipping containers. Notably, Angara's AIS system stopped transmitting its location in August, with no resumption by January 2024. The ship made several visits to both Rajin and Konyushkov Bay, a harbor used by the Russian navy, suggesting a systematic transfer of goods between the DPRK and Russia. The vessel Maria also participated in similar transport activities. These operations are under scrutiny for potentially violating sanctions.
