JSC “Central Research Institute of Materials Named After D.I. Mendeleev” (JSC CNIIM) is an advanced enterprise, which specialises in the research and development of new materials and technologies. JSC CNIIM is part of the largest Russian defence conglomerate Rostec. JSC CNIIM develops and produces materials that are widely used in military industry: silicon carbide is used in military vests and armoured vehicles protection; high-strength steel is used to produce artillery barrels; and rubber products are used to coat military equipment to conceal it from hostile radars. The activities of JSC CNIIM expand and enhance the Russian military’s technological capabilities by introducing new materials or upgrading existing ones. Therefore, JSC CNIIM is supporting materially actions which undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Furthermore, it is supporting materially and benefitting from the Government of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for the annexation of Crimea and the destabilisation of Ukraine.

Elle fait partie du plus grand conglomérat russe de défense, Rostec. La JSC CNIIM développe et produit des matériaux largement utilisés dans l'industrie militaire: le carbure de silicium, utilisé dans les gilets militaires et la protection des véhicules blindés, l'acier à haute résistance, utilisé pour produire des tubes de canons et les produits en caoutchouc, utilisés pour recouvrir les équipements militaires afin qu'ils échappent aux radars ennemis.
