In addition to his acknowledging, in Jun 2011, 140 executions for capital offences between Mar 2010 and Mar 2011, about 100 other executions are reported to have taken place in the same period and in the same province of South Khorasan without either the families or the lawyers being notified. He was, therefore, complicit in a grave violation of the right to due process, contributing to a high number of death sentences.

En 2019, Mohammad-Bagher Bagheri a été nommé chef adjoint du pouvoir judiciaire pour les affaires internationales et secrétaire du Conseil supérieur des droits de l’homme, remplaçant Mohammad Javad Larijani à ce poste par décret d’Ebrahim Raisi. Il a par conséquent été complice d’une violation grave du droit à un procès équitable et a contribué à un nombre élevé de condamnations à mort.
